Easter!!

I love Easter. It's a great time to reflect on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all that He did for us. It was really neat this year because Davanee is old enough to begin to understand the real reason we celebrate Easter. As Bryan was telling her of how Jesus suffered in the garden and then was crucified, you could just see the love and concern in her face. Then Bryan told her about the Resurrection and she was so full of joy, it was priceless. Such a sweet moment.

Easter weekend was pretty relaxing. On Saturday, a family from our ward invited us over for an Easter egg hunt and egg dying. There were lots of kids there and Davanee had a blast!

Waiting for the Easter egg hunt to begin. Can you tell she's getting frustrated with all the waiting?

And she's off! It wasn't easy getting these pictures, this girl is fast!!

Hello cutie!

Striking a pose : )

Doing a little tree climbing after all the eggs were hunted.

So pretty

Back into daddy's arms : )

Afterward, each of the kids got to pick a little prize!
Easter morning!! We got up extra early so that Bryan could watch Davanee find her basket before he left for work.

During General Conference, Davanee wanted to dye eggs again. So we did!

Can you tell who's speaking right now?

Davanee loves dying eggs so much, she would  probably do it everyday if we let her.

I also made a new Easter pettiskirt for Davanee but I haven't gotten any good pictures of her in it yet. I'll get that done and posted soon!!

Let's go to the park! Again

There's not a whole lot to do around Big Spring. So what do we do for fun during the day? We go to the park! A lot. Here's a few pictures from some of our recent outings : )

At the 'Big Spring'

She's looking for Ninja Turtles : )

I love this pretty face!

Going on an adventure!

"This way, Mom!"

I love it when she does girly poses like this

And of course we had to make a stop at the see-saws

She really got in to riding that horse!

Driving the train

Now for some digging in the sand : )

Hopefully the water park and our apartment pool will open up soon so that we'll have a couple more things to do for fun : ) Until then, going to the park is fun to do, fun to do, fun to do! Going to the park is fun to do, to do, to do, to do!

Rattlesnake Roundup

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go to the Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater, TX. This is the worlds largest roundup and Bryan has been excited to go as soon as he found out we'd be moving to west Texas! Let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! They definitely had more rattlesnakes than I've ever seen in one spot.

Checkin out the merchandise. They had pretty much anything you could think of made of snake!

Snake demo

Giant bubbles! These were so cool!!

Davanee certainly loved them : )

Look at all the snakes!! Don't worry, there's a piece of Plexiglas there : )

Davanee's first time getting her face painted! She had a blast!!

I love her face in this one

She's very pleased with the results : )

My beautiful girl!!

They also had a HUGE flea market with all sorts of fun crafts (that was my favorite part). Bryan got to try fried alligator and fried rattlesnake, which he was really excited about, and they also had a gun show there which he really enjoyed. Overall it was a great day together as a family : )
